Front Cover Ideas Music Magazine
On my music magazine front cover, I hopefully will be able to get one of my friends to pose as a convincing artist. The photo will be a portrait photo with a well thought out background. Make up and costumes for the 'artist' will be well thought out as well. I will make the model chosen look as much like the person that I want them to model.

Tuned Brand Identity and Ideology
My magazine is going to be called Tuned. It features pop and current music in the industry. The aim of the magazine is to look quite classy and elegant appealing to younger adults but not younger teenage girls. Tuned is all about engaging the reader and giving them time out of the real world so they can relax. It gives the reader time to themselves which everyone needs from time to time. On the cover each time there will only be one artist on the cover so people know what the main focus is and focus will be drawn to the main artist at the time. The colour scheme will be black and white to add a sense of aunthenticity.

Survey on Preferred Music Masthead
These are people in my target audience suggesting which masthead they prefer for a music magazine. When asking people within my target audience what the preferred image was, it ranged from many different mastheads. People who chose their favourite mainly picked them for the layout of the masthead, the text and the colour. After the screenshots, I asked a few people why that is specifically their favourite and they answered the as following:
Asha's favourite one was the black and white one in the middle column. This is because she thinks that it is not over the top and it is simple yet edgy and bold.
James' favourite was the green capital letter, in the last column. This is because he likes the colour and layout of the word 'tune.' He thinks it is different to other mastheads on other magazines.
George claimed to prefer the blue one on the bottom right. This is because he likes the colour as he thinks that it is quite fresh and current.

VIBE brand identity and ideology
The magazine 'Vibe' is based on urban style of music such as R&B, rap and hip hop. Vibe is all about allowing an individual express themselves and helping them feel confident with in. This is often expressed by being presented in a bold, courageous way with the choice of layout, pictures and colour choices. In the Screenshot the images reinforce dominant ideology that urban artists are black. On the front covers there is only two white woman (on the bottom row) and only one white man featured a couple of ties (Eminem). In my opinion, I would suggest that the target audience is is for younger adults ranged between 18-28. This is because the magazine can sometimes have quite explicit photos on the cover and the coverlids can sometimes connotate that Vibe is not for the younger generation.
