Rule of Thirds:
The
rule of thirds is a common rule for photography and composing images. The idea behind the rule of
thirds is to imagine an image broken down into thirds like a noughts and
crosses board game so that you have 9 parts. It identifies four important parts of the
image that people should consider placing points of interest while framing a
chosen image.
It is best to compose the photograph in the camera because a
person can avoid cropping later to retain as much of the image as possible and
avoid reducing the quality of chosen photos. Above this text is an example of the rule of thirds.
